RAM® Mounts are modular mounting systems designed to securely hold devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, GPS units, cameras and rugged equipment in vehicles, industrial and healthcare environments, motorcycles, marine settings and workplaces.

They use a patented ball-and-socket system that allows near-infinite adjustability while providing vibration resistance and durability. RAM® Mounts are widely used in fleet vehicles, mining, construction, emergency services, healthcare and commercial environments.

We supply the entire range of RAM® Mounts components and systems including phone mounts, tablet mounts, vehicle mounting systems, suction mounts, drill-down mounts, rail & post mounts, VESA mounting solutions, rugged device cradles and heavy-duty industrial mounting systems.

RAM® Mounts components are commonly made from powder-coated, marine-grade aluminium, high-strength composite materials and stainless steel hardware. Material choice varies by product and intended environment (vehicle, marine, industrial, etc.). We can always assist in choosing the best material for your use-case.

RAM® Mounts uses a ball-and-socket system in different ball sizes. Larger ball sizes generally support heavier devices and handle vibration better:

• A Size – approx. 9/16" (0.56") ball (lightweight setups)
• B Size – 1" ball (common for phones & light tablets)
• C Size – 1.5" ball (larger tablets & higher vibration)
• D Size – 2.25" ball (heavy devices & demanding environments)
• E Size – 3.38" ball (extreme-duty applications)

The right size depends on device weight, arm length, mounting surface and vibration level. Again, we are more than willing to assist in choosing the correct ball-size for your application based on our decades of experience.

Capacity depends on ball size, arm length and vibration environment. As a general guide from RAM® Mounts recommended loads:

• A Size – up to ~0.5 lb (~0.23 kg)
• B Size – up to ~2 lb (~0.9 kg)
• C Size – up to ~4 lb (~1.8 kg)
• D Size – up to ~6 lb (~2.7 kg)
• E Size – up to ~15 lb (~6.8 kg)

For high vibration (e.g., heavy vehicles, mining, forklifts), it’s often best to "size up" for extra stability.

Yes. Many RAM® Mounts systems are used in demanding environments including fleet, mining, construction and marine. For high vibration or heavier devices, larger ball sizes (often C, D or E) and shorter arms typically provide improved stability.

Most RAM® mounting components are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. (Can you believe some phone mounts only offer a 1 year warranty?)

Electronic products are typically covered by a 3 year warranty (depending on the specific item).

Some items are considered general wear items (for example, suction cups and certain rubber components) and are not covered under lifetime warranty terms.

Real Mounts Pty Ltd ships orders using a combination of Australia Post (Standard and Express) and StarTrack Premium/Express for deliveries within Australia.

For customers in New Zealand, we ship via DHL for reliable and FAST international delivery.
